Article marketing is a great and free way to develop traffic for your website. You need an appropriate topic for your business, keywords and a 400 or more word article. Once you have created and edited the article, you submit it to one or more article marketing sites that you have an account with.
Article marketing sites
Do a search on Google for the "best article marketing sites" and you will find plenty of sites. Some sites will be specific for certain types of articles - these my be great for your business. Others are general sites. Two of the more popular sites are Ezine Articles and Go Articles.
Article marketing tools
You can start out manually submitting your articles to appropriate article marketing sites. But as you use article marketing you will want to automate some of the process.
Do a search on Google for "article submission software" and you will have quite a few to choose from. I like article submitter and unique article wizard.

Locial Search
Local Search is the way your business will be found today or you competition will be.
What is local search?
When some one searches for a business or product today, they will look for it locally. Now they may not look locally at the beginner of their research but they will before they are finished.
People want information of how this purchase will answer their needs. And then they will look for a local business for the purchase. And they will purchase online or off line.
What if you are not found during this local search?
You just lost a sale. Your competition was found and got the sale.

Putting Your Off Line Business Online
In today's economy it is important that all off line businesses add an online website to their business plan. Your off line business needs to expand and be found.
Will You Be Found?
Today fewer and fewer people are using off line methods of finding businesses. The newspapers, radio, TV and Yellow Pages are becoming less effective every day.
Over 75% of Americans are online and over 60% of them will research online before purchasing either online or off line.
If they don't find your business when they do their research, they will find your competition.

FAQ
What are FAQs?
If you have a method of interaction with you real and potential customers and store that data, you may find the same questions asked over and over again. These interactions can be in person, over the phone, by email or in your help desk. However you document your interactions and then review them for commonality, you may find the same or very similar questions asked frequently. And these questions make up your businesses frequently asked questions.
If you are getting a number of FAQs what does that mean?
What it means is that you are failing to communicate the answers to those questions in your store, on your website and in your brochures. People feel that these questions are important to them and you have not supplied the answers. So they have to ask. That is those that are willing to ask. How many people want the answers but don't ask. They just leave you store/website.
How to reduce the rate of FAQs.
Once you have discovered these FAQs, go back to your store/website and place the answers there where they can easily be found. Put them in more than one place is appropriate.
Now monitor your FAQs to see that those that you have addressed have significantly decreased in frequency. If they have your efforts have been successful.
